The 5th International Forum on Chinese Outbound Tourism (IFCOT2009) will be held in Beijing on April 24, 2009. IFCOT2009 is organized by the China Travel Service Industry Association (CTSIA) and Ivy Alliance Tourism Consulting, co-organized by Beijing Tourism Group, supported by China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), China Tourism Association (CTA), World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA). It is being held concurrently with the China Outbound Travel & Tourism Market (COTTM09).

With the theme of “Chinese outbound tourism – transition & evolution”, the latest trends and hot issues on the China outbound market will be discussed in this forum, including:

Opportunities and challenges during a global economic crisis; the performance of USA over the past year as a new approved destinations; how to develop the promotion and marketing strategies from the perspective of Asia-Pacific region, Europe and Africa; An insight into China outbound meetings and incentives market.
