The China State Council agreed on the 2014 official holiday calendar. This is an annual complex task to allow people to have longer continuous holidays by bridging weekends and making up for it by working a weekend before or after.
The loner breaks suitable for long-haul travel:
- Chinese New year: 31 January-6 February
- National Day: 1-7 October
