This acquisition raises a number of questions in the tourism industry:
Will a Shanghai-based hotel group understand better Chinese consumers’ needs abroad? Will it affect Chinese tourists’ habits? How important is the nationality of the hotel’s owner when it comes to choosing an accommodation abroad for Chinese tourists ?
