February 2014
Monday 3rd March
Greetings!

This coming month, I will be speaking at a couple of London events. 26 March will see the launch of the GREAT China Welcome Campaign by VisitBritain (more below) where I will be presenting the new portal for the UK industry, which ChinaContact created for VisitBritain. I will also speak on the Panel: “Chinese Investment Overseas” organised by the UCL Department of Political Science and IPPR that will take place Thursday, 27 March 2014. Should you wish to attend this free event, you can find more information HERE.

ChinaContact was selected by VisitBritain to provide the content for a new portal helping the UK tourism industry prepare for, and cater to, the Chinese visitors. The GREAT China Welcome Campaign will provide background cultural and business information, practical tips, and links to further assistance, to any UK based business wishing to target the Chinese market. Making Britain more welcoming and friendly to Chinese tourists as changes are being made to the UK visa application to make it more accessible,  should lead to more Chinese choosing Britain as their next holiday, business or education destination. The website will be officially launched with the ‘GREAT China Welcome Business Summit’ at the London Hilton Metropole on March 26th. Email VisitBritain’s Jo Leslie directly to confirm your place.

This week at ITB Berlin, you may wish to meet with ChinaContact staff: Sylvie Chen, Business Development Manager and Manuela Barba, Account Manager. Do email us to request an appointment in Berlin.
